Wedding and Event Painting
Your day captured by an artist
Years of painting outdoors has honed my ability to capture the ambience and spirit of a scene very quickly. I specialise in loose, impressionistic but sophisticated oil paintings, which lends itself perfectly to painting your wedding or special event, in person, as the moments unfold or in the studio from photos.

Painting in person on the day means I get to truly experience the atmosphere first hand and really capture the unique mood, ambience and location.
I am open for commissions in 2025 and beyond!

The Process
Discuss your vision
Together we can discuss your vision for the painting taking into account the venue, season and timings. As I work in one session from life, my sizes are usually below A2 for live painting. Larger sizes would be done in my studio from photos.
Paint live or in the Studio
My style is loose and impressionistic, in the limited time available on the day I will gather all the information I need to convey the mood, ambience and joy. Where I set up will depend on the view that is desired but I can keep as discreet as possibly (and keep out of the way of the photography!) I have a small travel easel that I would need to have space for and possible a dust sheet if the painting is inside.
Studio follow-up
Back in the studio I will refine the painting and put in the finishing touches. I will then send photos of the final painting to be accepted or if any final tweaks are needed.
Framing
I create beautiful bespoke frames for my smaller commissions. For larger pieces I will use one of my trusted professional framers. Please see information on my framing service.
Prices and timing
I am quite flexible and can be booked fairly last-minute if needed for live events. When I have painted on location I usually need about a month post-wedding for touching up and framing back in the studio.
For studio pieces, the process can take up to six months depending on the size and framing.
Prices start at around £800 for a 30 x 40cm painting but depends on the location, travel, size and framing options. Please contact me for an idea of pricing.
